North Carolina Baptists. No Passport Needed. Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. [Undated] Book. [Click here]
Abstract: Working with international students is a “front line” mission work. Just as missionaries must make a decision to reach people at the far ends of the earth, so we must make a decision to reach the thousands of international students who do not know Jesus. It will take prayer, determination and sacrifice.
This training material is born out of 14 years of working with international students in North Carolina. It is designed to help an individual or small group think through the process of building a team out of a church or group of churches to reach international students in the local area. It also points to possible “blind spots” for those who have not worked in a cross-cultural context.

Abstract: This is a good book to encourage local churches to become active in ISM by taking advantage of the opportunities around them on local campuses. Published in 1997, some of the material is outdated, but it is still considered a good resource for learning ways to develop local ministry.

Lau, Lawson. The World at Your Doorstep. IVPress, 1984. Book, 144p. English. Out of print, but you can find copies at amazon.com and elsewhere. [Click here]
Abstract: The World at Your Doorstep has been considered by some to be a guide for getting started in ISM. The author spent many years in ISM at the University of Kansas. One recent reviewer has seen the book as a starting point, however, rather than a manual, an excellent resource for a course in ISM, if a school were to offer such a study.
